This electronic supplement provides access to the data used in the paper "Uncertainties in Signals of Large-Scale Climate Variations in Radiosonde and Satellite Upper-Air Temperature Datasets" by D.J. Data are monthly temperature anomalies from eight datasets for four regions (Globe, Northern and Southern Hemispheres, and Tropics) for 6 layers (850-300, 300-100, and 100-50 hpa, and MSU2LT, MSU2, and MSU4). Data cover 1958-2001. Values of -99.999 represent missing. Anomalies are with respect to a common base period 1985-1994.
Data for all regions and layers are in the file SEIDEL.ALLDATA.DAT. Twenty-four other files give data for specific regions and layers separately, with the naming convention SEIDEL.layer.region.DAT, where the layers are:

In each data file, two header rows are followed by data rows, each giving data for a given year and month, that can be read using the FORTRAN format (I4,I3,F9.2,8(1X,F10.3)).
